  • A dedicated PC (Windows or macOS) or an all-in-one appliance certified for Zoom Rooms.
  • A tablet (iPad, Android or Windows) running the Zoom Rooms Controller app for one-tap meeting start and room controls.

2. Audio & Video:

  • Camera: A certified Zoom camera (PTZ or fixed) that offers the right field of view for your space. Many rooms now benefit from using an all-in-one device, such as a video bar, for simplicity.
  • Microphones & Speakers: Choose from ceiling, table-array or boundary mics and pair them with suitable speakers to ensure everyone can be heard clearly.
  • Displays & Collaboration Surfaces: One or more displays, LED/LCD screens or interactive touchscreens, that meet your room size and collaboration needs. Dual or triple-screen layouts are common for presentation plus participant view.
  • Optional content camera for capturing whiteboard sessions and feeding into your Zoom meeting.

3. Licensing & Network: 

  • A Zoom Rooms license from Zoom’s official site (zoom.us), with a 30-day free trial available.
  • Reliable network connectivity, preferably hardwired, and PoE (Power over Ethernet) where required for simplified installation.

3. What Brand of Equipment Should I Use In My Zoom Room?

For solid performance and fully featured support, your Zoom Room must use hardware that has officially been certified by Zoom.

This can range from video bars and PTZ cameras to microphones, speakerphones, and touch controllers. Zoom’s certification program includes top vendors like Poly, Logitech, Yealink, and Crestron, and guarantees seamless compatibility and the latest software features.

5. How Much is a Zoom Room?

Zoom Room prices start from £1,919 Ex.VAT for hardware only solutions for small huddle spaces. The total cost of a Zoom room will be the cost of a Zoom Room license add-on, plus the Zoom Compatible hardware specified for each room and any required installation services.

The cost of a Zoom Room varies according to the size of the room and the equipment and services used to commission it.
